Seventeen-year-old assassin Codename 13 has been suspended for a minor assignment in Japan. He meets Monji, an eleven-year-old who has lost his mother, and sets out to save her.
This movie is one spectacular scene after another
If it weren’t for the meandering third act, I would have easily given this movie 10 stars. Not sure how this movie has such a low rating.
The choreography is unique, brutal and beautiful
In addition to the action, we have a prolific revenge plot, but it works. The motivations of the characters are simple but extremely effective.
Silat is the best I’ve seen since Raid’s movies
As I said before, the last act is disappointing. The pace was incredible in the first two acts, but everything falls apart towards the end.
