I went to see this movie not knowing much, it just popped up on my radar the night it came out, so I had to see it. I was expecting some tension in the movie, but there wasn’t, which was a relief. Overall, the movie didn’t convey any political sentiment to me.
The acting was phenomenal
As for accuracy, I can’t say for sure, but in the current climate of America, what is accurate? Some of the cast and crew will probably win awards, if not the movie itself. The story was decent, not particularly gripping, but interesting because the main character was once president and everyone has an opinion about him. It was fascinating to look at his life.
According to the movie, that’s one of his mantras
A lot of it seemed rooted in reality, although who really knows. It didn’t seem crazy, but there were definitely some cold and crazy moments. It’s basically about how Trump became Trump, which isn’t inherently interesting, but it’s interesting to look at such a private character in a revealing way. Private in the sense that we never really know if what he says is true.

The film didn’t change my political views, but I recommend watching it, even if it’s to support a team that took a chance on what is sure to be a critically acclaimed film.
